The formational meeting of the MPD Calibration Task Force was held on 10 June 2020
Initial discussion on the scope of activities of the Task Force was discussed. They will include:
- calibration procedures for specific MPD subdetectors,
- the specific calibration tools, devices and procedures,
- detector alignment
- definition, storage and retrieval of calibration and alignment data - calibration database
- implementation of calibration in the reconstruction software - link with calibration database
- simulation and physics analysis validation of calibration
- estimation of experimental uncertainties due to calibration procedures
It was decided that the following subroups will be created:
- TPC Calibration and calibration Database (O. Rogachevsky, S. Movchan)
- TOF Calibration (V. Babkin)
- ECAL Calibration (I. Tyapkin, V. Riabov, Yi Wang)
- Calibration in reconstruction and calibration validation (A. Zinchenko)
Next meeting of the Task Force is expected on 24 June 2020
